We were contacted by Lagoa Municipality to create a promotional brand of the Algarvean borough as a tourist destination. The brand’s identity would have to include a potential promise to its visitors. This identity has two very defined angles: one is the aspiration aspect (the strategic final goal of the brand) and the other is the brand’s image that resides in the consumer’s mind.
We created the concept “Dive into the discovery”: when we discover Lagoa we also discover ourselves. For any destination to successfully communicate with its target audience, it needs to know what makes it unique, and that is its identity. And our strategy reflected that.
Lagoa Municipality decided that the brand would be adopted as its new institutional image.

VILA VITA Parc
A luxuriant resort that wins prize after prize. It is renown in the hotel branch as one of the best of its kind and belongs to The Leading Hotels of the World.
Crochet was the agency chosen to design their new website. What a challenge. A project that combined simplicity, usability and a distinctive design.
The briefing was clear: create a design that reflected the quality and beauty of the resort and simultaneously set up an interface in which the navigation experience was as even across all devices. Given that it is one of the most famous resorts in the world our work would have to be on par.

A brand that is over 25 years old with a story that deserves to be told and is being told with Crochet’s help. An online communication client from the very beginning. In 2015 Crochet gained Burger Ranch’s full portfolio, and we are now responsible for all the communication pieces that the biggest fast food company in Portugal may need.
Burger Ranch acts in a very competitive and ever changing market and therefore needs to constantly rise up to the challenge. All the marketing aspects are Crochet’s responsibility.

A hotel that is a landmark in the Portuguese capital. An award winning location, that is a European reference in terms of quality. Crochet is partners with Sheraton Lisboa Hotel & Spa since 2015 in terms of graphic communication.
Each item is produced with maximum attention to all details, where each millimetre counts, respecting and following the Starwood Preferred Guest standards. Crochet displays its boldness in thematic campaigns, by imprinting the luxury and sophistication of this hotel located in the heart of Lisbon.

Autódromo Internacional do Algarve
The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is a meca for all motorised sports fans in Portugal. An innovative project that combines a race circuit, a kart circuit, an off-road track, a hotel and apartments. AIA counts on its partnership with Crochet to develop campaigns for all the unique events that take place in its premises.
Bypassing monotony, all the graphic creative pieces are injected with creativity and motion. There are a full range of items in big and small format, signage, decoration of entry gateways, BAÍAS??, podiums, among others.

Dos Santos

Serious beer.

Dos Santos
An ongoing big investment in an enterprise built from scratch, that includes a winery, an artisanal brewery and a rural hotel on a 8 hectare property located in Sesmarias, Lagoa in the Algarve. Crochet is responsible for the creation of the various integrating brands of this huge project that aims to portray the best of what the Algarve has to offer in terms of hospitality, food, beverage and arts.
“Dos Santos” is the name given by Crochet to the artisanal beer, based on the family’s surname. We aim to highlight the Portuguese authenticity of the product and great detail was given to creating the logo, the complementary pattern and other communication pieces that were developed. The brewery (and the remaining area) have an architecture inspired by the Algarvean convents, with arcs and cloisters. This was also how we aligned the strategy of the brand by looking for contemporaneity based on the region’s historical stories, in which we find ourselves.

It all started with the happy outcome of the produced logo. The old one was cast aside. A new era begun. We gave it a body, energy and soul. The graphic outlines started to strengthen. The slogan started to assert itself and the communication rhythm started to grow in a healthy relationship between Village Fitness and Crochet.
Crochet is currently responsible for the creation of various graphic elements, for the printed and online communication, and we are also marketing consultants. We also create campaigns to gain new contacts on social media.

Faro Airport

The main gateway to the Algarve.

What stood out from the briefing was a clear objective from the client: to bring Faro Internacional Airport closer to the city where it is located, and therefore, closer to all the Algarve region. The channel: Facebook. The communication on the social network was to be encompassing with a homogeneous heterogeneity of themes.
Crochet also produced informational newsletters for the airport’s stakeholders. Design, programming, sending, optimisation of the database and statistical analysis were also part of the job.

Allergy-proof magic.

Proofy Kids
More than 17 million people suffer from food allergies in Europe, and one in four school-aged child in Europe lives with allergy conditions. Proofy Kids aims to protect children with food allergies by avoiding accidental exposure to forbidden foods. Through wristbands Proofy Kids informs and correctly alerts family members, friends, teachers and school assistants, of the existence of a food allergy. This way severe or potential fatal food reactions can be considerably reduced.
All the brand, from the name until the mascote, was developed by Crochet. From the logo to the web page development. All the diverse packaging work was also our responsibility. Innovative ideas deserve matching strategies.

Excitment and adventure on steroids.

Portitours
A tourist animation company with more than 20 years of existence whose main goal is to provide its clients with unique experiences, filled of adrenaline, surprises and emotions. Crochet was the agency selected to rebrand the company. The outdated image gave place to a new visual representation of all that the company stands for: structure, strength, active and dynamic.
All this explosion of energy was applied in the various promotional pieces of the company: brochures, flyers, Facebook communication, stationary, vehicle decoration, website among other channels.

Jupiter Hotels

In a space of its time.

Jupiter Hotels
In 2015 the group Jupiter Hotels opened another hotel in the heart of Lisbon. Aiming to keep their image (logo) as its was already well known in the Algarve, Crochet was asked to create all the supporting communication items, internal and also to promote the company’s hotels. Design patterns were developed to differentiate the different hotel units, with individual yet common features among them.
In 2017 the hotel group will open the Marina Jupiter Hotel in Portimão and Crochet will be in charge of keeping the communication seamless and precise.

Sangue do meu Sangue
We were contacted by the Barlavento Algarve Association of Blood Donors (Associação de Dadores de Sangue do Barlavento do Algarve – ADSBA) in December 2016 to develop a multi-strategy campaign that reached the whole of the barlavento area of the Algarve, to create awareness in order to gain more donors at a time when the number of donations decreases considerably.
The campaign named “Blood of my Blood” was took place until January 2017. The promotional campaigns were carried out through multiple channels: exterior publicity (outdoors, leds and TOMIs), radio, print and online. The social media strategy was based on the hashtag #sanguedomeusangue (bloodofmyblood). Various street initiatives also took place.
This publicity campaign had various known public figures of the region: Dr. Isilda Gomes, Mayor of Portimão; Álvaro Bila, Town Hall Mayor of Portimão; Júlio Ferreira, broadcaster and coordinator of ACRAL – Associação do Comércio e Serviços da Região do Algarve para Portimão, Lagoa, Monchique e Silves (Commerce and Service Association of the Algarve region for Portimão, Lagoa, Monchique and Silves) and Vítor Oliveira and Jadson, trainer and the latter midfield defender of the main football team – Portimonense Sporting Clube.

A bakery and pastry concept that invested in a brand that would imprint on the minds and stomachs of its customers. All the branding was designed by Crochet. Aside from all the printed items, we are also responsible for all the brand’s communication on Facebook, in a constant engagement of flavours and sensations.
So much flavour that need to be transmitted without forgetting the quality of the service and the sweet tastes. The product and the services are extraordinary which makes the marketing so much easier and complete.

One of the Great Hotels of the World.

Vale d’Oliveiras
Vale d’Oliveiras Quinta Resort & Spa is a 5 star hotel listed among the Great Hotels of the World, located between Praia do Carvoeiro and Ferragudo in the Algarve. It is very close to the best beach facilities and the most famous golf courses in the European continent.
Crochet was contacted to improve and standardise all the hotel’s, internal and external, graphic communication. We developed new paths for the brand’s design always aiming at the company’s statement and correct positioning. The nature influence, the mediterranean inspiration and the exclusive hotel concept, were all aspects that served as inspiration for our creative team.
The majority of the printed artworks were also handed over to Crochet. In this case we selected the best materials, focusing on detail and exceptional finishing touches.

Portimar was created in 1987 and throughout its 30 years of existence has become an unavoidable national reference in the tourist sector. One of the biggest DMCs (Destination Management Company) in Europe, with a portfolio that encompasses millions of units, and over a hundred collaborators distributed throughout Portimão, Faro, Lisbon, Madeira and Malaga.
Crochet was the agency selected to develop the company’s new website. We were also responsible for the online marketing promotion of the Algarve and Alentejo destinations in the UK and German markets.
